311 Jarvis Open Bar Series presents,

Parentage and Reproductive Technology

This panel of experts will discuss the legal and psychological issues related to the use of reproductive technology to build a family. Panelists will address recent changes to the definitions of parentage under the CLRA and the federal Assisted Human Reproduction Act. They will share their experiences drafting preconception, surrogacy and separation agreements, provide a context for understanding the anxieties brought forward by clients engaging with these technologies and discuss how they manage client conflicts and expectations. Practical tools, tips and case citations in this fast-growing area of family law will be provided.

This program features Chair, Justice Maria Sirivar, and speakers, Dara Roth Edney (MSW, RSW, Reproductive Counsellor, Informed Fertility), Kelly D. Jordan (Principal Lawyer at Kelly D. Jordan Family Law Firm), and Shirley Levitan (Family & Fertility Law, Adjunct Professor, Queens University Law School).
