Mandatory Information Program Training, presenters

Mediate393 is now providing Family Mediation and Information Services at 393 University Avenue. As part of the delivery of mediation services, we are also responsible for providing the Mandatory Information Programs (MIPs). The MIP helps families learn about the effects of separation on children and adults and the options available to them to resolve their disputes. The presentation has been prepared by the Ministry of the Attorney General with a detailed accompanying script.

The program is held on Monday and Wednesday evenings every second week from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at 361 University Avenue. Each presentation requires both a lawyer and mental health professional. A brief training session is required. In addition to taking the Mandatory Information Program Training, presenters must complete the government of Ontario’s Serve-ability training which provides accessibility standards for customer service. Lawyers receive 1 hour of professionalism credit under the LSUC guidelines and an additional .5 hours of professionalism and 3.5 hours of substantive credit for the presentation.

If you are interested in being part of the presentation roster, please email info@mediate393.ca with your contact details.
